Lazza Marrickville

The best filipino restaurant in Sydney! It was an absolute delight! The flavors transported me back to the Philippines with each bite. The sisig was perfectly seasoned, the Pata Kare Kare was amazing, the chicharon bulaklak was a crispy, savory masterpiece. Leche flan and Turon were really good too! The warm hospitality of Mac/Nicole and cozy ambiance added to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Filipino cuisine!

I've been here twice, took my partner once and my parents the next time. We've all really enjoyed the meal. Fish and pork dishes are brilliant. I also enjoyed the vegetable dish. My only feedback is that halo halo hardly had any ube ice-cream and was filled mostly with shaved ice. Other than that, everything else was delicious and would come back again.

We stumbled across Lazza while walking along Marrickville and was immediately drawn by their colourful lights and live music, only to realise they also serve a heck of a Filipino feast. We tried their crispy pata, a classic must-order dish. It's deep fried pork knuckle accompanied by a vinegar dip; chewy, crunchy and soft all in one mouthful. They have various types of sisig on menu but we went for the bangus sisig; flaked milkfish with onions, chilli and egg served on a sizzling plate. We also had pinakbet which is assorted veggies sauteed with shrimp paste -- literally the only veg dish you'll find in a pinoy restaurant. Of course we had to end the meal with their Halo Halo, an icy ube icecream with crushed ice, evaporated milk, leche flan and an assortment of colourful jellies and beans. While their leche flan wasn't as smooth as others, their ube ice cream was on point - and we also found out you can buy them by a tub! Overall, amazing vibes (live music included, what!) And really enjoyable food to share with a small group. We're keen to come back and try more dishes like their bicol express, kare kare, pork BBQ, etc... Thanks for the great vibes Lazza!
